1) There is calendar randomly displaying on the Events Page

Hm, not really sure what you meant by "randomly" but in EasySocial 1.3.4, there should be a calendar that appears on the sidebar.

2) Events that have already occurred are still being displayed.

This is actually the default behavior of the Events. In the next release, we'll be adding a "Past Events" filter which displays only past events.
