Just had to help a user understand why they couldn't post to an event. Here's what they did...

1) Navigate to the Event Page
2) RSVP to say they are going
3) Sulk and contact me as Admin when the Story Form didn't appear

What they needed to do was refresh the page. So reporting this here. Is the RSVP action supposed to trigger an automatic page 'update' such that the Story Form would show and avoid this issue? Thanks!
I see, thanks for the input on this Andy!

Hi Andy,
It seems the page does not refresh automatically after selecting attendance status to display the story form as you said.
If you want this functionality now, you can download the attached hacked file below and apply it into the following directory:
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easysocial\controllers\events.php
Remember to backup the original file as a precaution before replacing the file.
I will report this to the developers as well so they can look into this.

Great. Thanks Raymond. I hope that can find its way into the core build of EasySocial for the next update.

Andy, the concept is to actually allow users to quickly RSVP to an event without much interaction going on. Perhaps we'll see what we can do in the future to simplify this. Adding a redirect for actions like this could give the impression to the user that it is slow.

I understand... but I'd take 'slow and functional' over 'fast and non-functional' any day!
