Unfortunately, we do not have the option to select weekly events currently. I have logged a tracker to the developers so they will take notice of this. Hopefully this option will be available in the future. Hope this clarifies your query.

I have unlocked this thread to update and inform you that it is indeed possible to create weekly events.
After consulting with the developers, I found out that selecting the days under the 'Daily' option would make the events occur weekly for the days that are selected (refer screenshot for reference).

As for daily events, you can select all the days under 'Daily', then it will run the schedule for all days of the week starting from the event start date till the event end date.
