Correct me if I'm wrong here, do you mean you want to add a different module in the different page (Event Listing and Event Details)? If yes, you can add a module on your preferable position and page:
1.Create a menu item for each of the page (Event Listing and Event Details)

I got all that but what MENU ITEM TYPE do I use? (ie - "Events", "Single Event Item") etc..?

Hi there,

You can create a menu item for Events (Event listing) and for (Event detail) I'm not really sure you want specifically add the module in the detail section in a specific event?If yes seems that cannot be achieved currently
