Hello, is there any way to add a very simple WYSIWYG editor to the event description field? I really need to be able to add more than just simple text to the event description like you can do in any event manager or component in Joomla.

Thanks,

Daniel
Hello, I also forgot to mention that the "Social Share" button is not working within the events, is there any way to fix this?

Here is an example url so you can take a look:

Thanks,

Daniel

Hey Daniel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Currently it isn't possible to generate a WYSIWYG editor for the event description

As for the issues with the bookmark button, Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello and thank you for your response.

I hope that you know that this inability for the event description not to have WYSIWYG makes it one of the worst event managers in Joomla, this will force me to consider another event solution like MijoEvents or something like that. If I would have known it was impossible to not have WYSIWYG in the event description i might not have bought easysocial at all. I'm really sorry to express myself this way but it has become a big frustration and I dont know how else to express it. Also, it is not very clear how to create a photo album for an event or how to add additional photos, is there documentation on how to do this?

Thanks again for your help,

Daniel

Hey Daniel,

To be honest with you, the only reason that we don't load any WYSIWYG editor for the event description is to avoid 2 issues:

1. People tend to "decorate" descriptions which makes the event listing look extremely ugly and not unified.
2. Bad users that tend to inject html codes and mess up your layout.

Anyway, the good news is, I will see if we can add this into 1.4. The reason that I am thinking of adding this is not because of your harsh remarks (don't want you to get the wrong idea) but your comment is pretty constructive and I see where you are coming from as an end user

Now back to the issue with the social sharing, this seem to be working for me now, not really sure what happened. Did you tweak anything? Upon clicking on the social share link, this is what is appearing for me, http://screencast.com/t/gkWUPfPN

By the way, when I click on a new post at the back end of EasyBlog on your site, it works perfectly fine as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/DaGGkpGpW . Not really sure what issue you have here.

By the way, I strongly advise users to split their questions into separate threads in order for us to manage your issues more efficiently. If all your questions are condensed into a single thread, do take note that you will get a slower response simply because different moderators are working on your issues as we do not maintain a "single person single thread".
