Would it be possible to create a new Event Field Type/Option that would allow an event creator (from the create event menu) to have the option to associate the event being created with either a Group or Page they manage? Currently, when creating a new event this is not an option, they have to create it through the page or group to achieve the association.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it is not possible to achieve this yet in EasySocial.

Perhaps it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request" so that everyone else could vote for it. We will prioritize this feature during the development process for the next major version of EasySocial if there are more people request on this.
