There are some errors when a person is trying to create an event. The message that displays on the event creation page is as follows:

Event Configuration
Set various event configuration.

No theme file found for this event. You might be trying to display content in an event that do not need to display.: event/configAllowMaybe/
No theme file found for this event. You might be trying to display content in an event that do not need to display.: event/configNotGoingGuest/
No theme file found for this event. You might be trying to display content in an event that do not need to display.: event/guestLimit/
Hi,

That could be cache. Try clearing your cache and see if it is still appearing so because I've loaded your site and it is appearing properly for me:

Also seems like the Location section is missing an area for a person to place the address of an event. Instead it asks "Where are you now?". But, the also does not seem to be working when clicking on "Detect my location".

The http://stackideas.com/forums/on-create-event-no-theme-file-found-for-this-event page did fix my problem with the themes. But, I still have the issue where the location and the address fields, which are basically the same. are not allowing a person to enter an address. And, the Detect your location button also did not work for me.

Hi Sean,

I am presuming that you are referring Event Creation on the story form: https://db.tt/sgffWBX8

Unfortunately the location is actually not connected to the event creation as it is intended to use for "story creation" only. This is the same with "Who are you with?" and "Set your mood". These panels are not linked with Event Creation. Event Creation loads its own form, for user to quickly create an event.

As for the detect location button, I've tested on your site and it is working properly. Please keep in mind that, clicking the detect button, will prompt your browser to ask your permission to access your location, and you will have to accept the permission before the location detection can work properly.

Well, I was getting to this in a totally different way. But, the way you showed me is also broken. The way I was getting here is by clicking on the Invite Friends link just below my toolbar. But either way 'Detect Location' is almost worthless to me for putting in the address of an event that is more than likely NOT where I am at the moment of posting the event. I hope that makes sense. And, in both places when it detects my location it picks out some addresses but does not let me manually enter in a correct address. Although the detect location in the image you showed me does ask "Where are you now?" and allows you to put in an address. It should actually be asking "Where is the Event?" if this is about creating an event!

The way I am creating events is to click on "Events" under the toolbar just below Search. then I click on the blue button that says "+ Create Event. "
Then I pick a category. Then I can fill in all the details about the event and it seems to have more fields available then the way you showed me.

Then I see that the Event Details section has a field where we can enter in an address. Again this should say "Where is the Event?".

Maybe that is the only fix that is needed.

Hi,

I see I see. I've fixed the language string to use an appropriate one instead then.
