Event CATEGORY that does not allow video uploads?

From the text on the ACL list in Events/Categories - it would seem that you could create a meeting category that does not allow "any" video uploads. For example for this event category: No Video Posting Event Category - Test, I set ACL to not allow videos.
However when I sign in as say userone and create a meeting in that category it still ASKS ME if I want to allow vidoes in the meeting? That seems to miss the point of the previous setting?

What am I missing here?
Thanks
Jim
Hi there,

Actually, there are some of our customer already reported this related issues. Currently, it will always follow those ACL you have set on your category.

By the way, we will see if we can improved this on our future release version. Thanks for your understanding.

I am sorry I think my question was misunderstood and that is probably my fault, sometimes I am not too clear

My point was:

  1. I want to be able to create a meeting category that does not allow video uploads
  2. In order to do that, I created a meeting category for that purpose AND set the ACL to NOT allow video uploads.
  3. My point was, even after I did that, when a regular user logged and tried to create a meeting in that category, the question was still asked 'Do you want to be able to use videos'.
  4. In other words it did NOT seem to be following the ACL. And my question at the time, is what do I need to do to keep videos from being allowed in a given category.

However, after I submitted the ticket I realized I could go to the workflow using condtional rules I could keep the Videos option/question from being displayed. After I did that it seems like EasySocial respected the ACL.

Thanks

Jim

Hi there,

Probably, i didn't explain to clearly on my previous reply.

However, after I submitted the ticket I realized I could go to the workflow using condtional rules I could keep the Videos option/question from being displayed. After I did that it seems like EasySocial respected the ACL.

Exactly, this what i wanted to mention on my above reply. You groups/events/pages will always respect their categories ACL respectively. And right now, there are issues related this, where those fields will always be shown on the categories even-though we already disabled those related apps(used to control pages, events and etc).
