I'm not sure if this is possible with the current version of EasySocial, but I'm trying to create an Event Category Link that when click takes the visitor to a list of events for that category, similar to the layout when viewing events and then filtering by category.

Currently, Event Category links result in the event page with the "Recent News" updates and a random list.

Thanks.
Hi Justin,

That is actually the correct behavior when you choosing single event category layout. It will display the recent post and statistic of the event category.

Perhaps you can try this method if you want to display the event listing in single category.

Login to your backend->Menu->Main Menu->Add New Menu Item.

In Menu item type->Select

Select System Links->External URL

Go to your frontend and go to the event listing inside the particular category from the event listing page. Copy the url and go to the next step.

Select Link->Copy the link of the list of events for that particular category and past it on the text box

Click Save button

After you have setup the menu, login to your front end, you will be able to see the menu linking to the list of events for that category.

Hope that helps

Best regards

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for your reply! I'm actually using external URL's as you have suggested already, but the downside is that I cannot properly assign any modules to external menu links (even with Advanced Module Manager). I'm also not able to able to use any 'active' css in the main navigation as external links are not recognized.

Hi Justin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Unfortunately that was not possible at this point of time.

Perhaps you can request this feature from our voice page http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial and see if we can implement this in the future.
