Unfortunately menu items cannot be added to that bar.

Menu items are generally located in the top right corner of the mobile template(http://take.ms/Aj80k). This menu will populate the menu items from your main menu.

If you want to customize this, you could always edit the template file in /templates/esmobile/index.php . The codes for the icons are located at about line 460.
