ES2 : Convert groups to pages and members to fans

Hello,

We are looking to remove some of our groups and create pages instead, the problem is that some groups have more then 500 members! if we create new pages we'll lost them all and they should like those new pages to follow.

i was wodnering if there is a trick to convert groups to pages and members to fans, with a backend tool i guess there is not, perhaps with some sql queries ?

Unfortunately that was no easy way to achieve this, because this will involved a lots of different tables data.

Hello, i find how to convert a group to a page, just enter into the mysql data base Clusters > GroupName > in the cluster_type replace "page" by "group", i tried with a group of two members (admin and member1), this group is converted to a page with one like (admin is not counted as liker).

Just a question, no risk of data corruption with this change ?

There is no easy way to do this right now and you can't just simply change this from a group to a page.

If you decide to take this on yourself, it is at your own risk.
