We are again having issues with video uploads.

This time with .m4a format files.

Previously we had issues with .avi. see: http://stackideas.com/forums/es-video-upload-allowed-formats

Can you please assist with this as video has not really been working as we had hoped.
Hey Andrew,

If I'm not wrong .m4a is suppose to be exclusive for audio format, not video. Perhaps you can provide the .m4a file that you are trying to upload to my email so that I can test it directly? Here is my email address, ezrul@stackideas.com

Hi Andrew,

Hm, I just tried to upload the video that you provided earlier in my email but it seems like the video is uploaded and encoded correctly from my end. Refer my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/zNgmPqBbe . Am I missing something here?

Okay... when I do it as a standard registered user (Andries Gous) then it does not work... When I try an admin or editor then it works (OpgroeiGids Redactie)

must be something to do with user rights...

Hi Andrew,

I just tried to upload the same video but using a normal registered user but it seems like the video get uploaded correctly. Refer my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/nkxqucZX0 .

I believe you need to wait for a while for the video to finish upload depending on your current internet connection. The video process progress bar will start moving once the video has finish upload to the server.

it does not work for me... As soon as I try to upload it, it stays at 0% and then comes up with the wrong format error.

I have sent you a video so that you can see exactly what happens.

Note: please do not post to public during tests and we already have test users setup, do not create new users. Thanks for understanding.

Hi Andrew,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Can I have your test user credential so we can test this again? By the way I've used the same video that you gave me in my email as per screenshot above.

Hi Andrew,

It seems like the issue is only appear when you are trying to upload the video from macbook. I've applied the fix inside your /administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/video/video.php and it should be working now. Please give it a try.
