Hello,

A while ago, Alex assisted me with a small correction in the video.php to ensure that the screenshots for the videos showed up in high resolution in any created ES video module. At the time, there was no way to override this file so I have been constantly doing it manually.

I noticed that the most recent update for ES has made some other changes to the video file and I was wondering if the image cover fix has already been applied or if I need to manually apply it myself again.

Thanks
Actually last time i provided that is just a hack code, it will not add into Easysocial core file.

I already help you updated again and put the hack code into the latest video.php file, can you try download my attached file and replace into JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/video/video.php .

Awesome man, thanks!

So have you already applied the fix for me on my site or do I need to drag the file over?

Thanks again!

You're welcome, i haven't apply to your site yet, so you have to download my attached file and replace into this following file location.

JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/video/video.php .

OK thanks for the help. Do you know if there are any plans to add this to the official build?

I will discuss this with the team and see if we should include these hacks into the core. If the primary purpose of this will only be for your site, it is most likely that we would not add this to the core unless it is beneficiary for everyone

I guess other users are not using the video modules all that much which is kind of odd for social based platforms. If they are using them, they would be able to see that the quality of the covers is very very bad lol.

I am fine with continuously updating the file though and am more than happy that you guys found the solution for me. I just feel bad that I will need to ask you guys with each update if it is ok for me to copy over the video file.

Thanks for all your help Mark
