Hello StackIdeas Team,

it would be a good feature to have some configurable userlists, where you can show a list of users dependent to the content of some custom fields. Custom fields should be possible to show not only to show in Info-View, but also in List-View. Imagine like some business cards. If this is not already in planning, i would like you to think about

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla
Hey Macjoomla,

Hm, not entirely sure how this actually works. Would you mind elaborating more on this please?

Hello Mark,

it would look like one of my attached examples in one or (and) multi rows. It could work with menu "show all users" with filter of what content a specific field should have to show or to shiow all users and what field should be used to order it.

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla

Hey Macjoomla,

Hm, isn't this functionality already there with the advanced search in EasySocial? You could create filters based on your advanced search results and these filters would then appear on the user's listing eh?

Hello Mark,

thank you for pointing this out. I never used this module and it looks very promising.

However, it does not seem to be possible to show certain custom fields in this listview. When i am searching for gender, it shows, but if i am looking for mobile numbers, it does not show any number.

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla

Hey Macjoomla,

Hm, EasySocial contains a lot of features and these are some of the features that exists in the extension

Ah yes those fields are fixed but I guess with a little tweak in the theme file, you could render it to display the fields that you want

Look at the file /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/users/default/items.php

Hello Mark,

thank you for this idea, but then it would be fixed again for each view of lists and i am trying to avoid overrides and like things working out of the box. Overall that is why i like products of stackidea

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla

I see, hm yeah this is a little tricky. What "governs" which fields to appear on the user's listing? Based on their search criteria's?

Hello Mark, yes this seems tricky, it is like making a new list and adding specific fields to show in this list. Then you can have a menu where to choose, what list (in what style) you want to show. So it would be very flexible for different purposes, as for example a list with telephone numbers or addresses or skills.
