Seeems like you're still using older version of vanilla template http://take.ms/MgwPl , would you mind to update it to the latest version? And see how it goes?

I installed the latest version of Vanilla with the result, the window is still shown cut off on the phone.

Because, it will always make the dropdown to the right side.
