When posting a new website URL or Youtube URL on an ES profile or in a ES Group, it seems I (administrator) have to go to FB Debugger and fetch/scrape the new post for the meta/open tag info to show up in a FB share...Is there a way to automate this? - I can do it obviously as the administrator (albeit time consuming) but users don't know to do that (or shouldn't have to) for their social shares on FB to show correctly...thoughts?
Hi Haki Saki,
Unfortunately there's no way for us to automate this process. Facebook does not automatically crawl your site whenever new info/content is posted. They will only do so when someone first tries to share a post/page. The same goes for many sites out there. When this happens, more often than not, the content would not be crawled correctly the first time until a 2nd attempt or more is made to share the post/page. The best you can do here is to advice users to cancel and share the post several times to see if the correct info is crawled.
