Hello,
searching for a simple way to remove (deactivate) ES sidebar in general for all my site.
Is there a simple way to disable the sidebar on desktop and mobile view?
Thanks for hint

Regards
Andreas
Hi Andreas,

Regarding your inquiry, unfortunately there is no setting to disable sidebar entirely on the site. Where some of it, is compulsory to be there (example: edit profile view, adding video page etc.) that can be effecting the functionality.
Perhaps, you can point out us the page that you want to disable the sidebar? so we can help you find the file that can you customize it to hide/remove the sidebar

Hi Fadhli,

thx for the fast reply.
The reason to hide the sidebar is that I only need some functions of ES for my/our site. Therefore I try to implement the necessary function in other ways/places then the sidebar...
The site to be created is in a very early state so I may be come back later to your suggestion accessing the site and help me with the files.

Still working on site base, I like to come back to your offer to assist me finding the file to be modified to hide/remove the complete sidebar.
Do you need backend access?

Hi there,

It is not required for your to provide us with your backend access actually.

Maybe you can try to applied attached files at this path .../templates/your_current_template/html/com_easysocial/dashboard/default/default.php Steps prompted above is for you to do template overrides( https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/templating/template-overrides ) as this cahnges wont be affected in the future(when you udpate/upgrade your Easysocial)

Please give it a try and see how it goes

Thank you - this works perfect for me.
But still I have a little issue... the sidebar change Button is still shown if mobile (responsive) view is active on phones/tablet. The button is still function and brings a non existing sidebar into view (site content moves right) may you have a Solution for this, too?
