How can I manage my ES Photos better or see if there is a way to reduce their overall size? Currently, my com_easysocial/photos file is 18G. Anything I can do to reduce that?
hey there,

What my suggestion is you can register an account from Amazon S3, once you have an account for that, you can follow our documentation here and check how to setup Amazon S3 in your site.

http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/remote-storage/setup-amazon
http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/configuration/remote-storage
http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/remote-storage/amazon-s3-bucket-path-can-not-use-period

What this purpose is actually one is an online file storage web service, so when the cronjob run. it will upload all of your site image, video, or etc into Amazon S3 (remote storage).

Hope this help.

Interesting idea..their "free" trial is for 5 GB. It's hard to tell what their pricing is as it's on demand. If I currently have 18GB worth of ES photos now is that how much S3 storage I would need? Any Idea what kind of pricing I would be looking at?

hey Haki,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Yes, that was correct, but I believe your site user also unable to tell you how much photo they will upload in your site social network, because this might be unlimited value.

What my suggestion is consult with your current webhosting provider and Amazon S3 price is it increase your server storage space or upload to Amazon is better.

To be honestly, I am not really sure what kind of pricing you should look for, what i know is they will charge you per month base on your Data Transfer/Get Requests/Storage.
