hi,
when users type in wrong login details they are redirected to

http://site/component/users/?view=login

and the classic
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.
is displayed.

i would like to have users redirected to
http://site/community
instead ?

thanks
Hey guys,

Try this, edit the file /modules/mod_easysocial_login/tmpl/default.php and locate the codes below,

<input type="hidden" name="option" value="com_users" />
<input type="hidden" name="task" value="user.login" />

Replace it with,

<input type="hidden" name="option" value="com_easysocial" />
<input type="hidden" name="controller" value="profile" />
<input type="hidden" name="task" value="login" />

Hello yoluca,

Are they trying to login from a specific module or the login layout in EasySocial ?

I have the same issue as well. In my case I'm using the Easy Social login module. I don't want the user to be redirected when attempting to login, but instead for it to display message saying their info was invalid. Here's a great example of this. If you type a fake username/password in that example, you will see that it nicely informs the user without being redirected. This is how most sites do it which it is done like this for a very good reason. Ease of use for the user.

Hey guys,

Unfortunately there's no way around this if you are using Joomla's login module We can't control how their module works but if you use the login module in EasyDiscuss it will redirect to EasySocial's page instead.

just an update

the redirect to
/component/users/?view=login
happens when i use the es login module ...

if this module is in " login " position provided by the template ... then im redirected to /component/users/?view=login every time i type in wrong pass or user..

if the same module is in " sidebar " position ... then i get redirected to /community/login

so i think is same sort of link coming from the template

thanks

I also tested it which it worked. Is this planned to be built into the main ES login module?

Thanks Mark. Didn't even realize there was a release after version 1.1.0. Is there some sort of news letter of some sort to notify us if a new version of ES comes out? I appreciate the fact that it tells us in ES's backend. The backend notification will help me see a new update sometimes, but it might take a week or so for me to notice it.

Hello Josh,

Currently the only notification available when you are running an outdated version is at the back end of EasySocial on the top left bar.
