Hello team,

I would like to contact you in connection with ES point system.
These days, I have been working with jD team, and I enhanced your reputation a little bit by telling them there’s a pretty awesome social networking tool in town. Since they have quite a number of supports for products like AUP, Jomsocial or CB, i got them thinking and they would be willing to add ES support as well. But, in order to convince them more, I would like to ask the followings:

In .point rule files, the last few lines are like this:
"extension" : "com_easysocial",
"state" : true,
"points" : 5

the credited/deducted points are defined in the last line. Is it possible at the moment, to let the other component (in this case jD) specify the amount of points, so they wouldn’t be fixed?
To illustrate what i mean: jD is a download manager system. They use price fields for downloads, where the uploader can set how much point should be deducted when somebody download the file. Thus, each individual file might have a different price, and it would be really good, if every single download could be worth its own price (as defined in jD) e.g. ’30’ or ’25’ or ’52’ points instead of the above-mentioned ’5’ for example.

Hope you can follow my drift Look forward to hear from you soon.

Thanks in advance! Wishing you the very best.

Attila
Hello Attila,

All these rule files are eventually stored into the database so they can really "programmatically" change these values from the database Ask them to take a look at the table #__social_points
