I suspect this most likely your server file permission issue caused this unable to copy those newest file over your server since previously you also facing this same exactly issue.

Perhaps you can try temporary rename these following folder then try upload latest Easysocial launcher installer from your site backend installer page and see whether can installable or not.

- JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial
- JoomlaFolder/component/com_easysocial
- JoomlaFolder/media/com_easysocial

If still doesn't work, it might be hitting another different issue, since i was unable to login from your site backend, i can't tell you what is the exact installation error you facing now.

If that is really related with your file permission issue, I would suggest you that check with your webhosting provider regarding your site file permission issue, the problem was indeed an file owner/group problem, and try chown for all files and folders to the correct owners on your server.

All files need to be writable by the webserver user.

I renamed the folders but now my images are no longer synced for things like avatars. Will they resink over time?

I may have fixed by changing the image folder name back but not sure if its 100% accurate

None of my drop downs are working now from the ES extension, including docker
