It might be planned already (hope so!) but would be great if EasySocial Events used the same mapping system that EasyArticles has... so the event author can clearly mark one or multiple locations.

Would you guys mind to elaborate more on what you are looking for in "Venues"? Since there is already a location field in the events, where does venue come into place eh?

Hi Mark... Hope you're feeling better.

Thanks for asking about venues (although the map suggestion on this particular post was simpler in terms of using the EasyArticles map technology for EasySocial events - I don't think it currently is there in terms of being able to select your point(s) direct on the map)

The wider venues concept is I think about being able to have an ability to maintain a detailed info page on a venue. I don't know if this could be done using EasySocial 'pages' or something - but the idea is the admin could build up a list of venues (perhaps with assigned authors too). The event creator can select one as the location for their event and what it means is the front-end user can then click from the location title / map on the Event page right through to the 'Venue' page... that would be all about the venue.. and also show what events are happening at that venue - allowing the click back to the event pages for each.
