Hello there,

ES email notifications don't go to inbox of users' emails but always to junk/spam mail boxes. This is valid especially for gmail without exception. However, I don't have such a problem with EB notifications. Could you provide any solution?

Best regards,

Zafer
Hello Zefer,

Ah I am sorry as I've missed this thread. I've added the language string to remind the user to check their spam inbox in the next release of easysocial.

Hello Zafer,

This is actually controlled by the email provider itself. Users must permit the email from your easysocial site to "not spam" or something related with the spam prevention setting. This is understandable since easysocial sents a lot of email notification to the user, hence it might be possible that it will end up in junk folder.

Perhaps what you can do is to limit the notification email sent by going to your backend > easysocial > alerts, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-09_1134.png and configure from there. Hope these help

Hello Arlex again,

Please add "Please also check your spam box" remarks to the related string. It is important. People think that they didn't receive email.

"We sent you an activation link. Please also check your spam box in any case."

Best regards,

Zafer

Hello Zafer,

Thanks for the heads up on this. In the meantime you can modify your language string from your joomla folder/language/en-Gb/en-Gb.com_easysocial.ini and find the following string
COM_EASYSOCIAL_REGISTRATION_COMPLETED_SENT_ACTIVATION_CODE="We have sent an activation code to your email"
//replace it with something like below
COM_EASYSOCIAL_REGISTRATION_COMPLETED_SENT_ACTIVATION_CODE="We have sent an activation code to your email. Please also check your spam box in any case."

Hope these help

Hello Ezrul,

Thank you for the information. However, it will be better if you make those remarks as default. So we will not have to change it with each update.

Best regards,

Zafer
