Hi guys

FYI

I dont know if you tested ES with new Joomla 3.9 and all privacy tools Create Request etc but I have a problem with menu index.php?option=com_privacy&view=request and then problem with login it doesnt work seems to be some routing/re direct issues when set these plgs on?

Anyone else have problem with this or is it just me? maybe the System - Privacy Consent plg + (plg user) causing this? Seems to be the System - Privacy Consent plg bcs when put this on EasySocial fails to login for me....

Cheers!
Hey Sean,

Yes, this already resolved in 2.2.5 version, if you would like to enable this 'System - Privacy Consent', the Joomla will detect if this current logged in user doesn't have accept the agreement before, it will always redirect to the Joomla user edit profile page.

However, from what i see if you already setup your own term and condition field in Easysocial from the registration form, you actually no need to enable this plugin, and if you would like to do something similar with this and want to double make sure your existing user whether got accept your site privacy policy, you can enable this setting "Profile Completion Checks" from backend and always redirect to the user edit profile page when detected some of the required field haven't fill in. Thanks for reported ssnobben, our team still testing on this Joomla 3.9 + privacy consent for all our extension because Joomla just release this yesterday.

Based on what your current issue, I can able to replicate this issue in my locally if you have enabled this setting 'Enable com_users Redirection' from this 'System - Easysocial' plugin.

Because this 'System - Privacy Consent' plugin will check for the current logged in user whether they have confirm your consent to the website, if the system detected this logged in user haven't confirm this consent yet, it will keep redirect to Joomla user edit profile page. Since you have enabled 'Enable com_users Redirection' setting, so it will redirect to Easysocial user profile then this plugin want it redirect to Joomla user edit page, then end up hit the redirection infinite loop error.

For now, I would suggest you that temporary disable this 'System - Privacy Consent' plugin first, I will report this to our developer regarding this.

I am wondering if this has been resolved yet. My main concern is wondering if the GDPR settings now in Joomla will conflict with the settings in my StackIdeas software. :-)

Thank you very much Arlex,

Now that I know this I will update my Joomla to the latest and greatest. I am going to leave things as is right now using the EasySocial profile checking.
