As I read through many ES forums I see that there are a lot of 1-off fixes for specific problems users are having. (typically php files for them to download) Are all these fixes included in version updates? If so, are these fixes/changes documented? It seems that I have had some fixes in the past and don't recall reading about them in version updates..thoughts?

The reason I ask is..should I download the php files from other forum threads if I want the same issue fixed or just wait until the next release?
It depends on what sort of fixes are provided. If it is a one-off fix due to conflicts / bugs then they are already added internally so you don't have to worry about that.

However, if there are very minor customization provided, then it's your own responsibility to take a backup as we do not provide support for customizations. We are only helping you guys out of good faith as our support policy does not cover customizations.
