Hi There,

If I remember it right in the early version of ES when I created my own version of a certain module, actually modified version. Going to the Theme Compiler, the system will automatically pull that new module. But in the latest version, my modified module of mod_easysocial_menu no longer appear in the list of modules.

How do I register my module in the Theme Compiler so I can compile LESS? I know I can compile it myself but I would love to just hit one button and everything ES gets compiled. That's why you guys created it right?

Thanks!

Jackson
Hey Jackson,

We are actually planning to scrap this altogether because we realized that 95% of users doesn't know what that tool does and most of the time, they'll just mess up the entire css of the site

To ensure that your modules file is picked up by the compiler, you need to ensure that the naming convention of the module follows mod_easysocial*

Hi Mark,

What!? That's sad! that is an awesome tool to get rid off. So what's going to be the replacement? Mark, just a suggestion maybe create two mode of this tool:

  • Default, for those users that doesn't know how LESS compiler works and give them a simple and easy one button and it will do everything for them automatically, also you can put a note that if they don't know what they're doing don't touch it .
  • Advanced, this awesome tool and will let Admin choose which part of ES to compile.

I guess that's a compromise I hate to see this cool tool to just get rid of when you guys spent a lot of time creating it. But, anyhow, that's you decision.

Thanks for info about module naming convention, I did change the module name, that's why.
