ES 1.2.12 Upload image with Chinese characters turns to a broken link

Hi Team,

I am not quite sure if it is a new bugs with ES 1.2.12 but I've just tested out, when I try to upload files via below methods, files with Chinese Characters in filename turns out a broken link after uploaded. Please also checkout the screen shot with highlighted Chrome Inspector's code. The "Title" is the original file name".

- Stream's Write Story
- Group's Write Story
- Upload file in Album

p.s. Confirm this issue is new to 1.2.12/1.2.11 , I've tested on 1.2.10 and doesn't have this problem.

Good catch and sorry it's my bad! This is one of the reasons why we shouldn't be adding anymore features in minor releases.

Here's a quick fix, download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/photos/ and overwrite the photos.php

Haha... doesn't matter. Every team has a learning curve but your team's innovations really charm!

Yeah, I could be your dedicated bug tester in future lol.... Anyway, unless it's a very serious bug else I will accept any fault since it's not a simple software, it's fixing and developing at the same time especially.

Anyway, if you have any beta tester program, just let us know and we are very appreciate if we can participate in your beta testing program. At lease we can help out to test most features before your team officially release any minor/ major release. Since, new bugs will be quite annoying for minor release... (fix something, break something). We already do that for all your software release at the moment - we clone our current site into UAT and load the upgrade version, then ...a series of testes to be performed. Most bugs will be discovered during the stage... if it's minor we will GO, if found major we will just HOLD until it is fixed.
