Error "You are trying to view or edit an invalid album on Albums" in Group when clicking on Album Title

Hi There,

Running v1.2.21 and just noticed that when I click on an Album title in a Group, it takes me to an error:

But there is no error when I click on the same Album Title on the sidebar and in the View Album button.

Since the Albums does not have title before, the URL generated by SH404SEF has /untitled at the end. Now that the albums were named, the URL is supposed to have the name of the album at the end, so clicking on the same Album does not properly redirected to the right URL

I don't know if this should be fixed in:

  • ES not allowing users to create an Unnamed Albums
  • or ES should force SH404SEF to apply a new URL
  • or SH404SEF should make an integration piece with ES to monitor ES changes to URL especially with Permalinks


Well, knowing SH404SEF developers and been using it since using Joomla good luck with the latter.

Album URLs are working fine now after I purge SH404SEF URLS.

Hi Mark,

The issue seems to be only affecting some Albums but not all. What the user did is she created the Albums without putting a title to all of it, so, it was all Untitled before, then after she uploaded everything she went back to it one by and changed the Album Title. But while it is still Untitled, I already saw this issue.

I can reproduce this by clicking on the Album icons in the widget or going to the Albums and clicking on the Album Title on the Stream column not in the widget.

Which person's / group's album are you viewing? Can you paste the link to the albums page before you hit that error?

Thanks for the heads up on this Jackson. I will run some tests on SH404 and see how this goes. I think the problem could most likely be due to SH404 generating the same "untitle" permalink.
