I am getting an error message when trying to upgrade to the latest version of EasyBlog. I'm getting the following message even though I've entered the correct API Key:

Starting upgrade process ...
Downloading patch files ...
Updating Foundry Framework
Error Please enter the correct API key. You may generate it from http://stackideas.com/account/my-account.html ...

My API Key is: a46609bb5ea44841acc91551a79f44

I've provided the site information below.

Hello David,

Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 3.9.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.

Hope this helped. Thank you.

Hello Nubuwat,

Thank you for writing in. That would not be advisable as, the API key is unique to each user
