I got an error. When i change the language to Romanian in my Edit Profile page it's all good, but when i change it back i get this page (see attached). If i then go to the home page it does show like it changed everything back to English.
thanks
Hi there,

It seems that it is because you havent setup your site to be multi-lingual as it is required for you to setup it to be multi-lingual as those custom-field you changed(Joomla language) are needed for you to route through-out your site(multi-lingual). Maybe you can refer here on how to setup your site as multi-lingual site https://www.templatemonster.com/help/joomla-3-x-configuration-multilanguage-site.html .

Please give it a try first and see how it goes

Hi Abdul, I would really appreciate your help on this, I have gotten about 30% through it and then it became more and more confusing.
Would you please help me do it. Ideally, I would like the Romanian and English flags at the top right corner of the site if possible.

Also, if I was to try and source a Romanian translator of from freelance, how would he go about signing up to finish off the Romanian translation?

thanks

I already help you created following stuff into your site, can you give it a check is it work fine now?

1. setup English and Romanian menu item respected the language as well
2. Display Language switcher module on your site

Also, if I was to try and source a Romanian translator of from freelance, how would he go about signing up to finish off the Romanian translation?

If your Romanian translator already contribute translated those language translation, you can start a new thread and attach those translated language file on our forum so we will update on our server, so everyone who need this Romanian translation, they can download it

It actually shows GB English twice, US once and the Romanian is gone. Pls see attached.
Ideally, I just want two options, US English and Romanian.
Thanks for your help.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

It seems like that is Joomla issue, you can check my attached screenshot below, even you install this language Romanian , it also show `English (United Kingdom)` for this language Romanian native title.

I already help you fix this from this file -> /public_html/language/ro-RO/ro-RO.xml

It should display correctly now.

Is there a visible difference between the US and GB English? I would rather just keep the main one. thanks

Hey Ben,

Primarily I think the difference is only between British English (en-GB) and American English (en-US). For instance, optimise (British) vs optimize (American)

I guess if you don't really need to have American English, then it's fine to just stick with British English

Sorry Mark i did not understand the difference. If there is no benefit to having the US english then i would just keep the main GB version and the Romanian.
Thanks

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holidays for us here.

I already help you switched your site to use default language to English (UK), if you do not have add any custom language translation for English (US), you can uninstall this language through your backend > extension > manage > refer on my attached screenshot below.

Hope this will help.
