Hi,

Our website was down today. I think it was a memory issue. Do you know what caused it en how to prevent this?

Thank you,
Mark
Recently I updated from php7.0 to 7.1 and I did not realise that this proces has reset the php memory limit to the default 32MB. I have now changed it to 128MB again. Do you think this caused the problem and what value do you recommend for the memory limit?

Thanks for getting back to us, I believe is because of this then caused this issue, because 32MB memory unable to handle your whole site process and the PHP image resize process.

I think 128MB is sufficient for handle your current process, because last time you switch PHP version from 7.0 to 7.1, you never hit this kind of issue before.

Perhaps you can monitor for these few days and see whether still hitting this same issue, keep us update if the issue still persists.

I suspect when someone upload image that time, the system spend a lot of memory to resize these high dimension image, so caused this issue error.

May i know your current site still having this issue?

If yes, can you update your site backend and FTP access so we can have a better check.

Hi Arlex,

Thank you. To be honest I'm a bit shocked that any person at any time can crash the complete website this way.
Does FTP not work? I'll check that.

Regards,
Mark

Currently I am not really sure why it caused the site down yet.

When i trying to login from your site backend (myanmarwaterportal.com), but it keep pop up ask me enter username and password http://take.ms/1V2qX but i tried to enter those .htaccess login credentials, it seems not work for the second time.

Yes, it seems like you provided that FTP login credentials no longer work.

Hi Arlex,

Sorry that the login does no longer work. Did not change anything but will check again.
