I am having issues creating a new blog post in Easyblog, after upgrading to Joomla 3.4.5. Whenever I try to create a new post I get the following error:

"Fatal error: Declaration of EasyBlogTableMediaManager::bind() must be compatible with JTableInterface::bind($src, $ignore = Array) in /Volumes/OnPole Server/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/hoesel/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/mediamanager.php on line 46".

Because of this I try to reinstall the newest version of Easyblog. Whenever I try to install the full package or the componant, I get the following error:

"JLIB_FILESYSTEM_ERROR_WARNFS_ERR03"

When I google for this problem, I read a lot about this being a new "feature" in Joomla, not allowing to upload php files using the installer.

Is this what's going wrong here? Does the Easyblog package need an update before I can install it?

If this is not the problem, what then? I hope you can take a look at it for me.

Thanks,

Bjorn
Hey there,

The reason that you are hitting this error is because you are running an outdated version, 3.8.x . I am not too sure if you want to upgrade to 5.x but I tried to upgrade to the latest 3.9.x but was facing difficulty installing any extensions at all as it is throwing an error as I believe your upload_tmp_dir in php.ini is pointing to a wrong folder.

Can you please verify that the folder set for upload_tmp_dir is correct? Are you able to install any extension on the site?

Hello Mark,

Thanks for your reply! In the meantime I have found out that it is the "System Restore Points" plugin that was causing the errors. After I disabled that plugin I could install Easyblog fine!

Thanks!

Hello,

Have you consult with that plugin developer about this issue?
