Our problems is that when we ara creating a new post to the blog, and we are uploading a media file ( in this case an image ) to insert into the body of the post, it uploads correctly but when we try to insert it from the uploaded list, the action buttons doesn't work. Not only the insert buitton is noty working but the locate one, an the delete cross.
Hello,

What actually happens is that EasyBlog utilizes the "GD" library in PHP to resize images and probably because of the image dimensions (Which is a little large), requires more memory to store them in the memory. Probably the memory_limit isn't that high which causes the upload (With resizing) to fail.

There's 2 ways to solve this.

1. Disable resizing
2. Request hosting provider to increase memory_limit

Hello,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I have tried to upload an image and also tried to insert the image as you can see from my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/QfSVjxwLhIkI . It seems to be working fine for me.

It seems it is working now, but we are having another problem instead. When we upload a photo when it finish at 100% the it finally shows a "Unable to parse server responser"

When we try it with a smaller image it seems to work.

We make this steps.

  • We acces with the user: marta.matesanz password: fructuos
  • We accés to the principal option menu: BLOCS -> El Bloc de P4
  • Then with option of creating a new bloc entry ( the one with the pencil)
  • We select the category "P4 -> Xanques", put a title, and a little description.
  • Then we select the option "Puja Mitjans" , and we select an image from our pc, it upload until 100%
  • Then it shows a "Unable to parse server response"

We attach the image we are trying to upload.

Hello,

This is actually related to the size of the image. There is a limit to how big (in pixels) the image can be for the image GD to resize the image. This actually depends on your site's memory_limit and server speed. I would suggest that you resize the image so that it can be uploaded successfully. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

The image is uploaded, but it doesn't show until later when you close the "Gestor Multimedia" an open it another time. Then the image is there.
It seems like a timeout in genereating the thumbnail or resizing it.

Is there another way to solve this problem insetad of resizeing the image befor uploading. May be some Server configuration, EasyBlog configuration.....
