Hi Easyblog,
I have tried to use plugins from eDocman to create a download page. Unfortunally I got errors.
The helpdesk of Edocman sent me the added message. So, in a Joomla article the plugin works correctly. In Easyblog unfortunately not. Is there an issue with the html code of Easyblog !??
Kind regards, T.W. van Urk

Answer EdocMan helpdesk:
The issue has cause from EasyBlog extension while it generates the HTML tags incorrectly, actually, each shortcode should be placed in one line (HTML) with P tags at the start and end.
I create new Joomla article https://www.kruwt.nl/administrator/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&layout=edit&id=32
Frontend: https://www.kruwt.nl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32
You can see the data are generated correctly.
If you open the article at Backend side and see source code of article, you will see the different between the source code of article and the Easyblog. See screenshots
With the way that EasyBlog to generate the HTML code, Edocman won't able to recognize correct variables to retrieve data, and we will see the error in Easyblog but not in Joomla Content
Thanks
Dam
Yes indeed, I agree with your conclusion.
However, a table column width like the Column block would be very handy

I am using the Easyblog Editor.

But, for the moment I have found a solution by myself. When adding the plugins in a HTML block it works fine !!!

But unfortunally, HTML blocks cannotbe added inside a tableblock. So I am building my own table-layout inside a HTML block.

It is more work, but I can handle it now !

I have once to define a fine lay-out. After that, I can copy the blocks !

Hello,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, if you are trying to insert html codes using the built-in composer editor in EasyBlog, the only way is for you to use the HTML block.

By the way, if they just need you to enter those plugin short codes like {edocmanlink 1}, why don't you use the text block? You can just enter that text and it would appear as is, https://take.ms/3VGYO

Hi Mark,
Yes, thank you for your answer. Indeed, I used the HTML block to build my page. You can see the result now at https://www.kruwt.nl/info/downloads.
When injecting the code in an article at once, I am missing some layout styling options. I tried the Easyblog table block, but I could not customise it very well !? I needed adjustable column width and center per column!!
Thanks for your great help!

I am looking forward to Easyblog 5.4 :-)

Kind regards, T.W. van Urk

Hello,

Thanks for sharing this EasyBlog was created to not be a "layout builder". It's main objective is to allow you to blog easily and this is why our priority is on the composing experience and not about "building layouts".

Yep, we can't wait for EasyBlog 5.4 too!
