I get an Error 500 when i try install the component in last Joomla (windows server) I think is a timeout but dont know how i can solve this.
Hello Michael,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have checked in your php information from your backend, it seems like your max_execution_time = 0 value ( http://screencast.com/t/YVhtHksT ), can you request with your Webhosting provider to help you increase it to 120? After your Webhosting provider already help you increased then you upload/install again from your backend extension manager and see how it goes.

If the issues still persists, can you extract the Easyblog installer zip file from JoomlaFolder(new)/tmp/eb
After extracted your installer zip file then go to your backend > extension manager > click "Install from directory" > set the path, see my screenshot ( http://screencast.com/t/mbfoFo5wPdQ ) > then click install and see how it goes? Please advise.

Hello Michael Papst,

I have help you installed the Easyblog in your site using install from directory method, but i noticed after installed completed, i getting this :
Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

It seems like file permission issues Can you consult with your Webhosting provider when you upload/install the Easyblog component then hitting the 500 server error? Please advise.

i got it working by install manual the database in phpmyadmin the installer seems stuck on sql conection maybe you should also consider rewrite your installer to a step by step including a all in one installer for modules and plugins.

Hello Michael Papst,

Thanks for your suggestion
Actually we have provided some of the installation documentation like just i mentioned using the "install from directory method"
Now you can access the Easyblog in your site.
