I upgraded Joomla, EasySocial and Wanderers template to the latest versions. I got 404 after that and no matter what I was doing it kept happening, I did not want to affect my SEO so I had to revert back to my backup. Why am I getting the error below?

Hi Christian,

I am unable to reproduce this issue on my local instance with the latest Joomla, EasySocial and Wanderers version: http://take.ms/qMPPi

Since you already revert the site to your backup, would it be possible for you to duplicate the site on a test site along with the issue, then provide us the access so we can investigate this issue there?

Hey Christian,

I am unable to access your backend currently with the provided credentials: http://take.ms/vEJrd

Please advice.

Can you include the ftp access as well since we may need it in the investigation?

Hey Christian,

After investigating, it looks like the issue was caused by an irregularity in a Joomla user's(id=1228) parameters: http://take.ms/mNqXr

I have helped you update the data in the db so the frontend should load properly now.

Can you help me double check and see how it goes?

That’s super weird. How could that have caused the issue. Was it adding an extra ‘ ? Can you guys prevent this in the future ?

Hey Christian,
Was it adding an extra ‘ ?
Nope, the issue was there was a rogue character 'i' outside of the quotes so this causes an error where the system was unable to decode the parameters.

What I did was removed the 'i'.
Can you guys prevent this in the future ?
Unfortunately, since we do not know how the character got added in the first place, we won't be able to prevent this.

You're most welcome Christian and glad to know that your issue is resolved.

Feel free to start a new thread if you have any other issues.
