it seems like that was know issue when you still using Easydiscuss 3.x older version, I've applied some temporary fix in this file -> JoomlaFolder/components/com_easydiscuss/helpers/helper.php , it should work fine now.

I would suggest you setup a development site then test upgrade it from there, in case any happen it won't affected on your live site.

Because we did change a lots of thing in Easydiscuss 4.

Do you have any joomla templates for easy discuss ?

Currently we do not have a specific template only for Easydiscuss component, perhaps you can take a look of our 2 template demo size and see is it what you referring?
