After installing PayPlans, we noticed that the site started to become very slow.
We also saw a huge spike in CPU usage, with almost 100% usage of 8 Xeon CPU's.
Page loading times also spiked, from a pre-payplans load time of a few seconds to times ranging from 20 seconds to 90 seconds.
Eventually we tracked the problem down to the PayPlans System plugin.
Disabling the plugin improved system response time dramatically, with site loading speeds for the non logged-in landing page dropping from 13 seconds to 3 seconds (at 3am in the morning and minimal user load)
In the attached GTMetrix report, you can see the difference quite clearly, with the difference being some 18 seconds extra loading time when the PayPlans System Plugin in enabled.
How do we resolve this issue?
Does the system plugin need to be enabled?
What does it do?
Installing Payplans and enabling the system plugin effectively makes my site unusable.
Members are complaining and we are already seeing a significant drop in the number of site visitors.
