Empty categories give error in ED

1) My empty ED categories give an error as shown below: To see: click on any category with no posts in table to right on ED page.

Missing field in database: DiscussCategory 1.
It appears the page you were looking for doesn't exist. Sorry about this

2) I was trying to update my K2 easysocial plugin from 1.05 to 1.09 but get an error using extension manager in updating

I've fixed it for you in this file: ../components/com_easydiscuss/views/categories/view.html.php. Please have a look.

Thanks but still getting an error updating the easysocial-K2 plugin from v 1.05 to 1.09.

I'm sorry that I missed it. You have to install the app using this installer: http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-12-02_1330.png located in Easysocial>Applications>Install . Please give it a try.

Ah, yes -kinda suspected that but wasn't sure this plugin was in the "app" category. Thanks -excellent support as usual which helps give people confidence in developing a site, knowing help is never far away.
