You can also view the blog post that I've created from the url here, http://yoursite.com/blog/testing-youtube-block , replace "yoursite.com" with your domain name. Am I missing something here?

hi,
same on my site.

i tried to imbed a youtube video with a block with composer it doesnt work. Now because i know JCE i switched to JCE as default editor.
I tried now three things to find the error:

1) In a first line I used the button "insert Video" outside JCE on the top (this line is shown in the editors line: [embed=videolink]{"video":"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dI2__hlo-4&feature=youtu.be";,"width":"400","height":"225"}[/embed]

2) In the second line I used the button "Video" within JCE, select "youtube" and insert the URL.

3) In the third line I make a hyperlink to the Youtube Video

After save i saw that in 2) nothing is saving in the editor ( i see it when i switch to html view)

Result: 1) and 2) are not showing the Video inside the post when i use a menu-entry with: category/view single category

1) shows the video when i select the post and let me show the complete article.

My question is, how an i get a video displayed on the category sight.
