You don't have to use any modules to embed spotify on the stream. You just need to copy the url to your spotify track and paste it into the status update form. It will embed it automatically

I think you could just copy the embed codes from Spotify and use the custom html module in Joomla. Then, position it to appear on the template (right / left) to have it appear either on the left or right
