Emails not being sent to new users

Hi,
Today for some reason emails stopped being sent to new users and when I approve a user, I get this: "Notice Could not instantiate mail function." Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

May i know did you change something from your site mail setting?

because when you hitting this error :
Notice

Could not instantiate mail function.


is most likely come from your Joomla mail setting, perhaps you can consult with your webhosting provider regarding this?

Or try setup SMTP for your mail setting and see how it goes.
