Still having the same issue with my emails not sending, even after my hosting service changed it to smtp...users are not getting emails at all. How can this be fixed
Which extension and how are you testing this?

Easysocial and the activation emails are not sending and im pretty sure other notification emails are not sending

1. This has nothing to do with any of our extensions.
2. I have configured this for you in Joomla's Global Configuration.
3. Once i enabled the SMTP authentication in Joomla, I am receiving the email now, http://screencast.com/t/zB4IHboGdw

ok i will have to wait and see if it works from a msn, outlook or aol account when a user tries. Because those have not been working

I don't have an account from those email providers. You should try registering one But if it works for my echo.my gmail domain, then it should work for the rest. If it doesn't, then you should check this with your SMTP email provider as there is nothing we can do to fix it.
