Hi there,

In your documentation it says

The default email template (template.php) is included in the wireframe theme of EasySocial. This default email template also being used by all email item in EasySocial. It can be accessed at this path:

/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/emails/html/template.php

however, this path does not exist in my version.

Is the documentation out of date for easysocial2 or am I missing something?

Paula
Hello Paula,

Looks like we need to update this section to reflect the changes on ES2. The new path would be /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/emails/template.php

By the way, did you know that in EasySocial 2, you can modify it from the back end instead of manually using ftp? Go to E-mails > Template editor as you can see here, http://take.ms/kj9GE

Hi Mark,

Ok great, I can actually do it by using language overrides as well (assuming I want to keep the same general structure) which I do so thats fine.

Is the email logo procedure different for es2 also?

Changing the e-mail logo will be the same as 1.4.x Perhaps we should really add a settings for this in the future instead since this question has been asked over a hundred times

Hmm I've followed that advice and now I have no logo in the emails. Permissions are good at 755 and ownership is not a problem but I'm using a rocket theme template so have placed the logo file at

/var/www/wheeconomics.com/public_html/templates/rt_acacia/html/com_easysocial/emails

and yet nothing.

Hm, did you include the "http" in your folder path? That is actually wrong. If the path is already correct, can you please edit your post and include the ftp access please

aah not sure how that http got in there.

Path is /var/www/wheeconomics.com/public_html/templates/rt_acacia/html/com_easysocial/emails

When you say you want ftp access do you mean you want command line access to the server?

Its gonna be slightly difficult. We don't use ftp. We use sftp/ssh and to access the box it is necessary to have an address inside our private network which is only accessible via a firewall/vpn.

I could host a session on the box for you via team viewer or similar but I think thats going to be the only way to get this access.

I just tried to preview one of your e-mails in the e-mail activity and the image seems to appear correctly, http://take.ms/vEdMR

Perhaps your email client is blocking the image from showing up?
