I hope this is the last time I have to bother you for a while.
The last post that was published yesterday did not send out any email notifications. I even manually hit 'Notify' once last night and again just now. I'm not even getting my usual admin notification. The notifications have been working perfectly for years until this last post.
Okay, found the problem! It's not actually a problem with EasyBlog but the problem is because of your browser that is auto populating the "password" field.

If a blog post is password protected, EasyBlog will not send notifications since the user shouldn't be seeing the contents (Otherwise it would be a security issue)

I believe your browser is auto populating the password field initially when you posted the post. Then you turned the settings off, so you can't see it when editing the post

I have re-enabled this setting and edited the latest post to remove the password and disabled the password field.

Notify works fine now

You don't have to worry mate Bothering us is fine if it is our issue

Can you please edit your post above to include the ftp access? I would need it to check this.

Thanks for your help. I was pretty sure I was at least partially responsible for this.

I'm afraid I am very confused now. I did notice that after I published yesterday's post, when I went to review it, I was prompted for a password. Just like the 'about author' box at the end of the post, I did not turn that on. In fact, I didn't even know these two options existed.
As far as the password goes, I still don't understand how it got turned on. I can't figure out where I turned it off and I am unclear if you turned it back on or not because I cannot find where the setting is? Can you tell me if this feature is on or off and where I can find the setting? Also, is there a section in the documentation that explains this feature?

Thanks

Hello Robert,

You can find the setting here: http://screencast.com/t/SUyD1rPZzjF in Backend>Easyblog>Settings>General. I'm afraid there is no documentation about this. Actually, the exact issue is because of the browser auto populating the password field ( http://screencast.com/t/out3ZBQE ) in the first place, then your blog will be saved as a password protected blog post which will not send out the notification. My advise is to turn off the Password Protection setting so that when you creating any blog post in the future, they will be no password field.

Hope this helps.

I think I understand now and I know what I did to cause the problem. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Just one more site to migrate. Let's hope I get through it without problems

You are most welcome Robert, glad that your issues are resolved now

I really wish and hope that browsers would start respecting the "autocomplete" attributes of these password fields. They are pretty ridiculous when it comes to auto populating
