Hey Celine,

Sorry but I don't quite get you here. Do you mean after posting a new activity stream, you want to send notification to everyone?

Hey Celine,

Can you check my screenshot here http://take.ms/C9KhI and see whether you referring this part when the user submit a new story stream in Easysocial then you would like to send email notification to each of the exist member?

If that is the case, currently that is not possible to achieve this.

But I have a few questions :

You only want your site admin to have this permission?

For example : If regular member post new story stream on your site, system shouldn't send email notification to all the existing member right? But if the new story stream posted by site admin, then it should send out email notification?

If yes, I would suggest you to submit a new broadcast stream in your site (screenshot : https://www.screencast.com/t/61h7YIb5fE ), when you choose this option "Broadcast Notification", it will send out this email notification to your selected profile users.

Hope this will help.

Yes, we do not have this in current system.

The reason why we didn't implement this is because imagine if the site have 1 millions users, if 1 millions users just submit a new story steam on your site, i believe your server unable to handle this huge traffic, and your site performance will be affected.

For example :
10 users submit a new story stream at the same time, the system will generate almost 10 millions email notification and send out these email notifications at the same time, i believe you can imagine how heavy the server process these.

But its works like this for Groups ?
Why not for non-group publications ?

Thank you

But its works like this for Groups ?
Why not for non-group publications ?

The reason why it work for the group is because those user would like to know any new update/status from this group that is why they willing to join into the group.

And I also believe most of the user do not like to keep receive those notification which they are not really interesting for those other non-friends new update/status when they join the social community site.

If you urgently want this functionality on your site, you can always request for a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations" . Our sales person would gladly send you a quote for the customization that you have requested.
