Hi, first of all happy new year to all StackIdeas team

Some questions about notifications and subscription option:

1. Is it possible in the subject of the sent email to change forum post ID to something else? ...for example to forum category.

2. How to reset message ID numbering?

3. I noticed that site subscription in user's settings doesn't stay active once I leave the page, is there an option that I forgot to activate in Easy Discuss preferences? -> short screencast to illustrate the issue: http://u.pc.cd/gfh

Thanks,
Lorenzo
... strange that it is not possible to do it through the database ...

Yes, it is not possible because you will end up this error "#1062 - Duplicate entry '0' for key 'PRIMARY'" in your database due to it does not allow to have duplicate ID for the post table's ID column.

If you really want to reset it to 1 once the site will go on production, you can delete all the posts(questions and replies) first from the backend then you can try to follow the steps as mentioned in the answer to this discussion https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/43812/how-can-i-reset-a-mysql-table-auto-increment-to-1-in-phpmyadmin as shown in the screenshot(https://monosnap.com/file/orJu4P1eIjNtwgbJ3Gkw9TudNs1olh) on this `#__discuss_posts` table.

NOTE: Do backup your database first before you give it a try.

Happy New Year, Lorenzo.

It is not possible to do this currently at this point of time.

2. How to reset message ID numbering?

Can you explain more in detail as I am not sure what do you mean by this?

Thanks for the report.

I am able to replicate this on my local site.

I will log this into our issue tracker.

Thanks for your detailed answers.

Since the site is still under development and tests are done for questions and answers, is it possible to reset the ID to zero once the site will go on production (live site)?

Thanks again,
Lorenzo
