Hi Guy's,
I see the emails sent out by EasySocial is still under development. That is to say it's not "Easy" at the moment.

Let me give you an for instance.

EasySocial 1.4.4 comes packaged with your proprietary EasySocial logotype preinstalled in the outgoing email/messaging system which is EasySocial Branding.
There are no backend options indicating your Branding is in place and a way to switch it to my own.
Okay, after discovering the Branding and search and wading through some documentation such as http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/templating/customizing-email-logo I'm able to replace the logo.png with my own.

Good, but the thing is, after treble checking the given instructions the override does not kick in as expected.
Of course I can replace the EasySocial Branding logo in the wireframe theme, once I've found the correct and direct path, which I've done. However, this gets changed back again to your Branding with every update which for me is not good at all.
May I suggest you use a plain white placeholder or at least something neutral.

There are also issues with editing email texts. Although it can be done there ought to be an "Easy" more efficient way to do it.

Anyhow, I'd appreciate it if you'd check over your documentation for said override for overriding your proprietary EasySocial logo.png and advise.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers!
Hi Guy Goodall,

I have tested this issue from my end by following the documentation, it seems to be working correctly. This is my directory for the logo override. Dir: .../templates/elegant/html/com_easysocial/emails/logo.png. If you're using another template, example Protostar, then your directory will become: .../templates/protostar/html/com_easysocial/emails/logo.png . This is my screenshot of the logo after the overrides: http://screencast.com/t/G0UCcveX5 . Please make sure that template here is refers to your current Joomla template and the new logo must be named logo.png.

By the way, when I tried accessing your site, im hitting:
Connection timed out or server hung up. The server you are connecting to may be configured to limit the number of connections you are allowed to make.

Please advise.

Thanks so much Mohd for having a look at this for me and verifying the override and documentation is correct as far as you're concerned. This is helpful to eliminate the forgoing and troubleshoot my server.
However, what I can say so far, I've tested my custom template and protostar and neither work? This is not a priority issue but when I figure it out, I'll be sure to let you know if it's something of interest.

Thanks also for the heads up on not being able to connect to my server. The reason being the site is under development and password protected. I mentioned this in the private messaging part of this ticket. I noticed from the server logs that Arzul tried accessing the site the other day although notified permission had been removed. This resulted in a Firewall block which I will remove.
If you've a small list of common IP's you use for support please let me know and I'll add them to the firewall whitelist.

In the meantime, I hope you take my suggestions on-board and maybe we can see some improvement to the next update.

Thanks again for your help, it's much appreciated.

Cheers!
