I am happy with the feature of being able to login with email in stead of usernames.
I recently did generate the username and to be the email at registration but earlier it wasn't.

Now I have the problem that I say users to login with there email but if they want to request a lost pass action they need there (old) username to get the verification code to be accepted. Way to complicated as I wanted to make things easier :-(

I have Easysocial 1.2.2 and Joomla 3.3.3 together with JFBConnect 6.1.2 to make login and register easy but it is not really easy yet. Any clue how to get only email and make the username really unneeded?

Thanks for thinking with me
Hi,

On the step where they need the username, email is also accepted actually because email is considered as "username" if you've enabled this feature.

Unfortunately it doesn't :-(

In 3 different variation:

• In the (JFBConnect) login popup they ask for "Username" :-( but actually I can only use email. (I added a message in this module that they should use email)
• If I request a new pass in this box I get a (Easysocial!?) message asking for "Username" and here I can NOT use email :-(((( Could you or I change this????
• If I use the Easysocial login/register form I am asked for email again and indeed I can only login with email As expected

• If I request a new pass in the standard Easysocial login/register page you ask for email to get a verivicationcode but the next page asks for "Username" too. Seems to be the same logistic as if I requested the pass in the JFB pop loginbox. Therfore I hope you could make or point me to a solution for this.

Hi,

I see. Fixed internally to show the email field instead of username field during code verification.
