HI SI Team

I am checking out the new Elegant Theme in conjunction with sub menus and have some questions.

[*] Videos:

Videos in Elegant Theme (Tool bar) take me here:
http://finalbug.net/videos

In Sub menu I have to go here:
http://finalbug.net/community/webinars

Would be good if the links went to the same place.
Can I get the first link to go the same place as the second link?

[*] Groups:

Groups in Elegant Theme (Tool bar) take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community/groups

Groups in Sub menu take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community/groups
This is as I would expect things to be :-)

[*] Events:

Events in Elegant Theme (Tool bar) take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community/events

Events in Sub menu take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community/events
This is as I would expect things to be :-)

[*] Achievements:

Achievements in Elegant Theme (Tool bar) take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community

Achievements Sub menu take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community/achievements

Would be good if the links went to the same place.
Can I get the first link to go the same place as the second link?

[*] Points:

Points in Elegant Theme (Tool bar) take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community

Points sub menu take me here:
http://finalbug.net/community/points

Would be good if the links went to the same place.
Can I get the first link to go the same place as the second link?

thanks

Paul
Hi Paul,

This is actually a correct behavior where the achievement page will try to get the current logged in user id and display their achievements inside the achievement page. If there are no user id exist (guest user), easysocial will automatically redirect the user to dashboard. Perhaps what you can do is hide the menu item to only be visible to registered user only so that public user will not able to see it.

Hope these help.

Hey Paul,

Videos:

I've checked in your menu structure, it seems like you have created 2 menu item for Easysocial video
Menu item ID :1816 && 1817
So it will causing this issue, in my suggestion you should remove this menu item ( http://screencast.com/t/gkN1NtLrHZru ) then it should work fine.

Achievements:

Achievements in Elegant Theme (Tool bar) take me here:

Achievements Sub menu take me here:

Would be good if the links went to the same place.

I believe you mention this link right? http://finalbug.net/my-achievementsdrop
If yes, this issue is exactly same as what I told you at above.

Points:

Points sub menu take me here:

Regarding this, the point icon shouldn't be show on guest user.
You can download my attached file and replace into JoomlaFolder\components\com_easysocial\themes\elegant\toolbar\default.php and this fix will include in 1.4.5 version.

Hey Arlex

Removing the second videos link did the trick. Thank you.

Have double checked the following menu for “Achievements"
“Main Menu Top” & “Achievements" under Community. Have left it here.
“Bug Drop Down” here I removed “Achievements"
“HWD Menu” no “Achievements" in there.
“Hidden” is empty.

“Achievements" still does not behave as it should
I am wondering if this is because of confusion on my part.
What module is this menu point intended to be linked to?
“Badges” ?
“User Achievements" ?
I have tried both and neither work?
Am I missing something?

With respect to the points they no longer appear.
Is this what you intended to happen?

best

Paul

Hey Paul,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I have answer your another post regarding the toolbar, may i know you still want elegant toolbar display on your Easysocial page? If yes, I will check enable back your Toolbar and continuous check on your first issue.

With respect to the points they no longer appear.
Is this what you intended to happen?

Yes, because if the user haven't login yet, by right it shouldn't show the point icon from the toolbar, the system will ask them to login first.

Hi Si team

Still stuck with one minor detail:

Achievements goes:

http://finalbug.net/community

Whilst logged in. Ditto when not logged in!

I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

thanks
